FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS
Fat dissolving injections can be used on most areas of the body, with the most popular being the chin, upper arms, waist, hips, inner thighs and buttocks.
It is a non-surgical way of body shaping using a gel based solution which is injected into areas of unwanted, difficult to shift pockets of fat. Fat dissolving injections are not intended for weight loss, but rather for those with localised fat tissue which is not responding to a healthy diet or increased physical exercise to improve the contour of the body by removing stubborn areas of fat.
How do Fat Dissolving Injections work??
These injections liquefy the fat cells, destroying them permanently and releasing lipids which are then expelled by the body through the lymphatic system.
The procedure consists of a set of injections, administered 3-4 or 6 weeks apart.
Are There Any Side Effects?
As this treatment is a non-surgical solution it means no downtime and no general Anaesthetic risks. As there are no incisions, stitches are not required and scarring is very unlikely.
There are some temporary side effects, which include bruising, swelling, redness and irritation in the injection area. Sometimes it may feel a slightly tender to touch, numb or itchy but these side effects usually reside after some time, which varies from patient to patient.
How Many Treatments Would I Need?
A reduction in fat deposits can be seen after just one treatment, however 2-3 seasons are recommended to achieve desired results.
What Results Can I Expect To See?
A reduction in fat in the targeted area can be noted a number of weeks post-treatment. The speed at which noticeable results are seen will vary depending on the patient, younger ones are more likely to see results after a longer period. In very small fat pads, the desired results can already be seen after one treatment. Once the fat cells are dissolved, the results are permanent if the patient follows a healthy lifestyle.
